“If you only have 148 tanks and 22 of them are stuck in Canada, that’s 22 tanks that are not at readiness and not available to do anything operational,” a defence source told The Telegraph. Hmmm, maybe that's part of the problem. Thinking back to my days in West Germany in the 70's, I never would have thought the UK and Germany would let their military shrink so low. My division had more tanks than Germany and the UK can both field today.
