Republican lawmakers across the country look determined to take on the Biden administration's insistence that employers require their workers to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
The Kansas legislature meets in special session starting Monday to engage in battle with the federal government over the vaccine mandates. But courts will likely have the final say on whether the mandates are legal, and some worry such bold action could further atrophy the state's ability to respond to public health crises and could put employers in a legal quandary.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel haging been in the business of giving vaccinations to our patients for the last 20 years I can say that these laws are going to hurt our public health. The rights of the individual does not negate the rights of the group to protect itself by requiring every one be vaccinated.

PO2 Russell "Russ" Lincoln I agree but this one is hit or miss. I have friends in the health care industry and the ones that are not afraid to speak out are the ones I listen to. I have had COVID and I know people who have gotten worse side effects from the vaccine that I had with COVID. Back to my original statement- what happened to my body my choice or does that only apply to women?!? A woman can murder my baby and claim my body my choice but I am supposed to get three jabs to keep my job?!? That’s BS! At least the real vaccine are proven and properly tested unlike this thing they call a vaccine.

SPC David Buttrey - So why do you not believe that these are vaccines? Taking the vaccine is in the interest of public health, any society has the option to mandate vaccines for public health. We have been getting them since we were children.

Let’s see - it doesn’t work. People are still getting COVID even after getting the booster. You have to have a booster just months after getting the first two shots. They still recommend wearing a mask and social distancing. The shots I was given as a kid were tested properly and not rushed to market. Let me ask you a couple of questions. What is the long term effects of the so called vaccine and it’s booster shots? Why is the FDA not releasing the case studies, etc?!?
