If you're gonna support Rittenhouse as self defense- then this case should get the same treatment as his did. She's a sex trafficking victim who killed her trafficker in self defense.
It's mind boggling some of the people who defend those like Rittenhouse in 'self defense' but ignore cases like this.

The two cases are very VERY different.
She brought a gun to his house - as in she was not trapped and chose to go there. She downloaded a police scanning app to avoid police. She shot and killed him, burned down his house, and drove away in his BMW.
Significantly different from shooting someone who is actively attacking you and you having little or no escape route.
The case for self-defense here is MUCH murkier and harder to argue. And even if she *is* successful on that charge, I do not see her beating charges for her other crimes.
All of that being said, yes, I can STILL see a valid self-defense case. But self-defense is an affirmative defense and shifts the burden of proof to the defense. I see a steep climb for her defense team to make that case.
She will have her day in court, and I hope she prevails and beats the murder rap. But time (and evidence - and a jury) will tell.

SFC Casey O'Mally - Agree, you have premeditation, she voluntarily put herself in his presence to commit the murder and had a choice of alternate means of resolution as her life was not immediately at risk. We do not have a right to kill another person in this country because we do not like him or what he does. Self-Defense laws are written very narrowly for a reason. Rittenhouse in each case feared for his life and had nowhere to escape to when he was assaulted each time......additionally he was in a riot so all folks in attendence are already breaking the law and recognized as a potential threat by LEOs and NG alike regardless of their previous rap sheets.

Was this a case of vigilante justice? She planned out how to get revenge against an abuser. She was supposed to let authorities handle the case. If you consider Rittenhouse a vigilante you have to condemn her for vigilante violence. The world is a better place with scum like Vole gone. I wish Kizer luck on her appeal. But Rittenhouse knew none of the people he shot. Rittenhouse did not plan on shooting specific people.

"She was supposed to let authorities handle the case..." Seriously? Why am I not surprised you'd say that?
Oh but you all say "He shot a pedophile and other criminals" like he knew that.
Honestly gfy. She killed her abuser. Do you know how many women are in jail or prison for shooting their abuser in self defense? But you defend Rittenhouse? Smh it's times like this that I wish after I retire I could gtfo this country.

I'd stand with her definitely. Even if she wasn't in immediate danger, if she was being held captive against her will, that's reason enough for me for her to be able to sneak up behind him and slit his throat. I don't know anything about the case, but if that was the scenario, I'd say she was innocent.
