How the Rittenhouse trial and tragedy in Kenosha captured toxic American politics

This is a dangerous sign of the times... Justice should not be political.

I am glad justice prevailed in the end BUT the kid should never have been charged. They basically destroyed his life for political reasons and now he will have to look over his shoulder for the rest of his life. On the other hand he will probably be doing it as a multimillionaire.

I watched a lot of the trial and the prose first two witnesses established the defense, first witness was a reporter 15 feet away from Rittenhouse and the first guy shot. The reporter testified that the first person shot lunged for Rittenhouse’s gun. The second witness testified Rittenhouse didn’t shoot him until he advanced on Rittenhouse with a drawn gun. The main stream media reported multiplies, and a Biden lie in a political ad buttressed the lies. Rittenhouse worked and his father lived in Kanosha. Rittenhouse didn’t carry the gun across state lines it was kept in Kanosha. Rittenhouse wasn’t a white supremacist or militia member... The only thing toxic was the police being told to stand down for three days of riots.
