We have to take the profit motive out of healthcare. There are a few industries that should not be driven by profit motives, and healthcare is a big one.

The United States Government needs to build the biggest drug producing factory in the world and override all patents on drugs that keep people healthy and make all the illegal drugs along with all the the prescription drugs and mark up the price maybe 5% over cost to make them, or something to that effect. The would win the war on drugs and bring down the cost of drugs and everything would be generic, so the drug companies would have to lower their prices to compete.
