You don’t let communist thugs dictate policy policy by threatening violence, is this hard to understand?

The key phrase is "good policing". That is something we have been losing over the years. Too many cops see the badges as the golden ticket to break the law. Too often they get away with it. But rioting and violence directed at the police and elected officials are certainly not the answer. We have to root out the bad apples and make sure they don't infect the good ones.

I disagree. We have many more police officers and much fewer problems. Police here in Augusta used to enforce the corrupt political party. If you sounded out publicly against the power structure the cops would show up and work you over. I think body cameras have helped BUT politicians jump the gun and the press does also and repeat false narratives that drive issues. A few good examples are “ hands up don’t shoot”. An interesting incident during riots in Atlanta where cops tasered two young black women. All you saw were police breaking the car window and tasering the women. The mayor fired the cops. Turns out the women had ran one road block, tried to run another when confronted by police, then they refused to comply with police orders. We can look at how the media drives a story. Sandman who had some weird guy start drumming in his face was defamed in the press for minding his own business. Look at how the Rittenhouse case has been mangled, Biden says he is a white supremacist, the gun laws concerning the Rittenhouse case are vague and those shot were clearly attacking Rittenhouse. The media all but convicted him in the press and the judge and his family is being threatened.
