There is no replacement for the A-10 Warthog! 250 rounds of 25 mm with an F-35 that has no protection unlike the A-10 Warthog that protects the pilot and the engines.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel - It is historical and fun to see and hear the whine of TWO A-10s over your head. I saw them fly over me at JRTC Fort Polk, LA in September of 2004 just before my deployment. They did not fire ordnance but it was nice seeing them fly 500 feet over our heads. Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen
