I spy with my little eye a comment made that, and I quote, "I do find it disgusting how many on the right are relishing in a woman's death...". Spoken like a true left believer. Who cares about the facts. Grind those poor folks on the right into dust - compassionately of course. Not!
I, as a person who is more on the right than the left will say, I have not seen ANYONE here showing glee or happiness, or relishing in the woman's death. What I do see is people on the right admonishing this special actor/producer because he did not follow a SINGLE safety protocol.
But, but, but - he is an actor/producer and they do not have to follow any rules of safety!
Really? What do the rules state?

WHAT ARE THE RULES FOR FIREARMS ON SET?
The weapons master is required to be on set whenever a weapon is being used. The Actors’ Equity Association’s guidelines state that, “Before each use, make sure the gun has been test-fired off stage and then ask to test fire it yourself. Watch the prop master check the cylinders and barrel to be sure no foreign object or dummy bullet has become lodged inside.” Further, “All loading of firearms must be done by the property master, armorer or experienced persons working under their direct supervision.”

Huh!! You mean the actor who will be handling the gun is SUPPOSED to follow safety protocols? You mean the weapons master is supposed to check and load the weapon? Not the assistant director?
No. Rules were ignored and/or broken. Baldwin is the one holding the smoking gun. But there is plenty of blame to go around.

EXPLAINER: Guns on movie sets: How does that work?
Cinematographer Halyna Hutchins died Thursday after Alec Baldwin fired a loaded weapon that was handed to him by an assistant director who mistakenly believed it was safe to use on the New Mexico set of “Rust.” Director Joel Souza was also hit and injured but has since been released from the hospital.

The court of Public Opinion will continue to opine long before criminal and/or civil litigation gets underway. Nobody expects that to change. The best we can hope for is that print and broadcast media that advertise there coverage as 'News' confine their coverage to that theater-of-operations i.e. contextual facts,; leaving the sensationalism to talking-heads on Opinion-Programs and typing-fingers on Social Media. I can wait for the legal process to play itself out.

If he were to face any charges it would be if he, as the producer, was involved with hiring the prop crew. If he wasn't in charge of that in his role as producer, then no, he shouldn't be charged at all. Some people think "producer" means they're involved in everything and that's not true. Most famous people who get a producer credit just financed the film - maybe. Or it's given to them to bring clout to the movie.
I don't like Baldwin much at all - but I don't see how he gets charged for this. I do find it disgusting how many on the right are relishing in a woman's death because they don't like his stance on gun violence or that he mocked Trump for four years.
