I don't have a problem with this except that the timing is a little off given current and very serious "transportation" issues. Looks like an example of real-life "political incorrectness." And, I think it's great that our Ruling Class has this options. Too bad the majority of everyday Americans do not.

I absolutely do not have a problem with Secretary Buttigieg taking paternity leave. I do have a problem with his reported (alleged) decision to not name someone to act in his stead during paternity leave, AND with President Biden's non-decision to demand Secretary Buttigieg name someone to act as transportation secretary in the Secretary's absence.
If a position can be empty for two months, it begs the question; is the position necessary at all? To me the answer is yes, the position is necessary; and this is inexcusable lack of attention within the Biden administration.
