Here’s just a question. What about the folks that are MLC graduated but don’t have the 36 months TIG? It’s like they’re punishing the ones that were go getters by whatever way they got in 4187, walk on, short notice etc but promote the ones waiting for the Army to send them. Am I looking at this wrong?

I wouldn't necessarily call the NCO's who have completed MLC before the PME requirement for pin on "Go Getters". Majority of us hard charging NCOs are either deployed or just to much of an asset to are unit for them to allow us to attend. I was only afforded the opportunity to go because HRC Slotted me.

MSG (Join to see) I definitely hear you on that but the fact anyone is not allotted the opportunity because your unit needs you is crap. It’s literally in the Army song it would keep rolling along. The mission shouldn’t stop because of one person. I personally have never denied anyone of my Soldiers from doing anything because we “need” them. However I have seen units do that and it truly piss me off. How can you say they’re essential to your unit but don’t allow them to excel if the opportunity arises.
