Hassan's 'Buddy Check Week' To Help Vets Passes U.S. Senate

Last week, the U.S. Senate passed legislation that specifies one week each year as "Buddy Check Week." The bill takes an existing American Legion program that connects veterans with other veterans and encourages the VA to to work with veteran-focused nonprofits, mental health experts and members of the Armed Forces to provide educational opportunities for veterans to learn how to conduct wellness checks. It's now on its way to the House for a vote!
