What is causing NASA's Ingenuity to have flight problems on Planet Mars.
We have all seen articles or watched videos about the issues NASA is having with their Helicopter, Ingenuity as it could not get off the ground for its 14th flight... It is fundamentally about the changing atmospheric density on Mars as the Polar Ice Caps seasonally "freeze" and "thaw" so-to-speak, which changes the atmospheric pressure.... It is explained in more detail in the video...

From what I understand, it was only planned to do 5 or so flights, so it has already outdone expectations by a mile.

That is absolutely correct PFC David Foster and I have posted on this subject since the mission was launched from Earth... I am sure these posts were either deleted by RP over time, or were lost when the upgrade was effected...

I think of it by analogy: Most of us learn to swim in water and do okay. If we tried it in a pool of Baby-Oil it wouldn't be quite as easy but we'd be fine (and slippery). If we tried it in a tank of crude oil we would be be in real trouble. Changing density of an atmosphere has a dramatic effect on aerodynamics.
