The Sikhs are a well known warrior culture. If the Marines want to draw in quality, they need to adapt. The Marines need warriors. The Sikhs don't need the Marines. It's a sellers market.

If you are not aware that Sikh's have been serving along side of us since WWI, I would suggest brushing up on some military history.

Okay, I jumped to a conclusion, bad form, thank you for the knowledge. Still, I think that the ever increasing argument that the Branches must accommodate the needs of the individual is getting out of hand.

GySgt Charles O'Connell - we have been accommodating service members for decades. I personally think we never should have brought chaplains into the military. Pandora's box was opened and now we get to deal with the accommodations of religions. We accommodate Christians, Muslims, Sikh's, Jewish SM's, Hindu SM's, Norse Pagans, Norse heathens, etc. Regulations by service give SM's the blueprint on how to go about getting approved for accommodations.

GySgt Charles O'Connell - I honestly don't see it as capitulation if we have been doing it for 100+ years.

GySgt (Join to see) - But once you are discharged, you are allowed to think for yourself and learn. No offense to Marines. My uncle was a Marine.
