On September 22, 2015, Lorenzo "Yogi" Berra, American Baseball Hall of Fame catcher and manager (18X All-Star; 13X World Series champion; NY Yankees, Mets; AL MVP (1951, 54, 55) and Purple Heart recipient, died at the age of 90. An excerpt from the article:
"Many images come to mind when one hears the name Yogi Berra. One of the more obvious is that of a winner. Berra won three American League Most Valuable Player awards and appeared in 14 World Series as a player and another five as a manager or a coach. He won 13 championship rings and holds several Series records. Berra met with numerous roadblocks on his journey to fame, but he overcame them with grit and dedication and went on to become one of the more beloved figures in American sports history."

I failed to get Yogi's autograph when I got Mick's. Yogi was in a bit of a hurry I guess, but he DID accidentally step on my foot while I was getting autographs at Memorial Stadium when the Yanks were playing "the Birds". There was very little security in those days. I was 12 years old.
Guess where Yogi was on 6 June 1944‼️
Yep... he was delivering "boots" to the beach. Look it up!!!
