Right now boosters will only be needed for the most vulnerable. The general population hasn't been vaccinated for even a year yet. We have no idea how long term blanket immunity is

PFC (Join to see) brother I hear you. I would rather keep my mouth shut and have nothing to do with any of this. But I am not being left alone. I am being told I will have to get out of the Army. I may lose my civilian job. People are pushing to make it so I cant go buy food. All while those same people are telling me they arent trying to force me.

SSG (Join to see) this is why I told you a couple of days ago decisions will have to be made. You're gonna have to move to Florida, Texas, maybe Tennessee if you don't wanna be forced to get it. Otherwise you'll have no choice if you stay in the service or become a federal contractor/employee.

Sorry for your loss. It’s so sad how people will even deny death as being a result of Covid.

Plenty. Unfortunately it’s a mix being the Israeli and Pfizer yes yes yes vs American and European not really beneficial

I read the Israeli breakthrough cases are increasing due to them getting fully vaccinated in general earlier than us. I have no way to determine the veracity of that theory. COL (Join to see)

Yeah I’ve heard that tooMAJ Ken Landgren. I don’t think the data presented in this article summary supports it. If there are sufficient memory immune modulating cells after 6, 8, 9, whatever.... months post vaccination then what’s another month? The Israelis weren’t that much before us

COL (Join to see) - Just some thoughts about COVID.

1. If the US had properly prepared for the pandemic the Pandemic Annex to the National Response Framework (how the nation should plan and prepare for national disasters) states some key tasks to be executed. I don't remember them all but this is what I remember:

- Be accurate about the risk of the pandemic. (Trump lied about the risk.)
- Ensure hospitals receive requisite supplies and PPEs. (The Trump administration waited until late March to create a TF to acquire PPEs.)
- HHS would provide medical leadership for the country. (They were usurped by politicians.)
- Since the US considers Information as a instrument of national power, a strategic message should have been sent out to the country that a new pandemic would have many unknown variables. (The politicians were giving out misinformation and even publicly attacked scientists.)

2. It appears the metrics are dynamic because of the Delta Variant, lack of good data, ever changing pandemic, and new theories. Sometimes the scientists don't always agree. The clarity has been definitely muddied by politicians who purposely give out misinformation. They are trying to kill the science for political reasons.
