On September 16, 1950, the Cleveland Browns (formerly of the AAFC) played in their first NFL game. The beat the the defending NFL champion Philadelphia Eagles 35-10. Cleveland was not looked upon very highly by the NFL crowd. Cleveland also became the first franchise to win an NFL championship in its first year.
