So the SOF community is going back to its original mission? Yet, one of the first priorities is in the Baltic nations, helping them build up resistance against possible Russian invasion. Seems like a renewal of the Cold War of the second half of the 20th century.

SSG Samuel Kermon
PFC David Foster I can agree that these small countries need reinforcement of some kind. But looking at how we are "helping" the Ukraine I have to wonder if we can provide effective help.

SSG Samuel Kermon - The Ukraine presents complicated circumstances... Now that Russia has taken back Crimea, it seems they are happy to let the rest of the Ukraine be... I hope so. Not a lot we can do there except give money and supplies and nuke them and nuking them is definitely not the answer... We give a lot of countries a lot of money to help keep Russia at bay...

I’ve just now read the Army Times article that described this development. It sounds to me like SF has gone woke and will now focus on diversity and inclusion and de-emphasize counter-insurgency and direct action. Not the SF that I remember.

Very interesting article. I wonder how this mission is being accepted by the current administration?
