NASA's Viking 2 Mars Lander Captured Water Ice On Utopia Planitia, Mars' Surface

Good early Monday Afternoon my Brothers and Sisters from a now crystal clear sky in the Greater Boston Area!!!

IT seems strange to say that NASA's Viking Mars Lander Landed on Utopia Planitia, on Planet Mars on May 18th, 1978!!! But this is a truism... 'Physics Insight' has taken NASA imagery taken by the Viking Mars 2 Lander and created this video from its images...

"A high resolution photo of the surface of Mars was taken by Viking Lander 2 at its Utopia Planitia landing site on May 18, 1979, and relayed to Earth by Orbiter 1 on June 7th. It shows a thin coating of water ice on the rocks and soil.
The Viking 2 mission was part of the American Viking program to Mars, and consisted of an orbiter and a lander essentially identical to that of the Viking 1 mission. Viking 2 was operational on Mars for 1281 sols (1316 days; 3 years, 221 days). The Viking 2 lander operated on the surface for 1316 days, or 1281 sols, and was turned off on April 12, 1980, when its batteries failed. The orbiter worked until July 25, 1978,[1] returning almost 16,000 images in 706 orbits around Mars."
