I don’t understand: are they bragging or complaining? If they are showing off the relatively healthy and moderately filling meals they are receiving from the country that just spent millions of dollars to save their lives by getting them out of a country where their own countrymen are abusing and murdering them, then thank you for your support. If they are complaining about how sparse and unappetizing it is, then they are welcome to return to the country where their own countrymen are abusing and murdering them.

I find it hard to believe that the tiny bit of chicken and melons is all that was offered for dinner. Even though contractors want to give as little as possible in order to maximize their profits, they would have been contracted to give a protein, a starch (usually potatoes or rice), a vegetable, and fruit; they might also get some sort of dessert. The government can pressure the contractor(s) to increase the amount and variety of food, and hopefully the situation will improve for the refugees.
