(09 04 21) Ongoing immigration flow during the pandemic in the US, inflation, businesses’ struggles.
More than 2,000 mostly Haitian and Venezuelan migrants crossed the Rio Grande at Del Rio, Texas, during the past week. Several hundred migrants remain at the river’s edge awaiting transport and processing due to logistical problems plaguing the Border Patrol. Despite Mexico’s attempts to deter the migrants, hundreds are arriving almost daily in Ciudad Acuna, Mexico, just across from Del Rio, Texas, and then immediately the migrants cross the river and surrender to Border Patrol agents.
The Del Rio Sector of the Border Patrol leads the nation in the apprehension of Haitian and Venezuelan nationals — accounting for 69% of the total arrests for these nationalities. According to the source, the increase became more noticeable after DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas announced the eligibility of Haitians for Temporary Protected Status in May.
“Haiti is currently experiencing serious security concerns, social unrest, an increase in human rights abuses, crippling poverty, and lack of basic resources, which are exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. After careful consideration, we determined that we must do what we can to support Haitian nationals in the United States until conditions in Haiti improve so they may safely return home.” Mayorkas said.

That doesn’t mean a total, but from those specific countries. How many more poor do we need, in addition to our homeless?

That number was just in one area, just this week. MCPO Roger Collins I’ve heard of many estimates of new immigrants from just the Southern border, including over 350,000 who just walked through unguarded border areas, into the US.
Thats in addition to those that approach the border agents and are processed. We could be looking at a 1,000,000 or more by end of year. Biden Admin clearly has no thought for US and citizens’ current problems, nor sufficiently vetting foreigners. Consider the new Afghan refugees, esp the older males with their child brides. I hope Christians now step up to help in some way as the tide will not be stopped under this Admin.
