I waiting for the first one to comment who doesn’t understand the difference between “our equipment” and “the Afghan Army’s equipment”.

For the purpose of discussion the equipment was given to the ANA, at least some of it was, yet it was still American equipment. It is providing the enemy with weapons no matter who had the last hand receipt on it.

SFC Eric Harmon Once it was given to the ANA/Afghanistan, it was no longer American equipment. It’s no different than arms transfers to, say, Japan or Saudi Arabia. It’s no longer on US books.

CW4 Guy Butler - It is not on our property book but it is American technology. That was the point I was making. NVG's alone mean when we go back in, and we will probably have to, we will no longer own the night.
