Russia suspected of faking US warship locations on GPS

No military uses AIS tracks as accurate ship positioning. It is more for informational purposes. If Russia is spoofing it and using it to justify attacks, that will probably not end up well for them.

Too many other ways to identify locations to rely on this single source. Spoofing seems to be more of a can we do it exercise than something to really increase tensions.
