Good morning, sir. There are several parallels between the "Fall of Saigon" and the "Fall of Kabul". Troops not getting the tools to fight, panic amongst the civilian population that had been promised security by the US, an enemy that was ruthless, our country tired of prosecuting an unending conflict, and others. But perhaps the biggest similarity was the lack of leadership with the two president's in office. Both Mr. Carter and Bozo Biden proved to be moral cowards and appearing weak to the enemy.

Your right SSG Kerman, and SPC Guenther, unfortunately the fall of Kabul is going to be much, much worse.

Really, who left the battlefield first? Afghan Army or American Army? Who attempted to leave Afghanistan with 10,000 American Citizens still there?.........leaving them to the mercy of the Taliban or find their own way out?
I don't buy it that the DoD is completely innocent here nor do I think the State Department is innocent here both have some responsibility for this outcome and the taxpayer money wasted.
