Forget innocent until proven guilty. This officer is finished. He'll get his twenty and retire. Sad, he probably was a very able officer. Funny thing is that the two full time officers under him were left in place. They had more direct control of the situation than the Colonel did. Suspicious, very suspicious.

The Number One biggest Issue in the Guard is leaders do not know the regulations. And depend on the admin types who are supposed to know them or at least how to look them up cannot do it either. This is the number one ass burner in the guard. If a smart soldier knows the Regs and how to look up Regs they can cause so much trouble in the Guard. Regulations are not interpreted if there is a question about a regulation there is always a follow on regulation or NGB Regulation to explain. I you still have a question call the JAG Office that's what their job is. An example is this and it happen in Florida and Georgia Guard I helped the soldiers get their Co HQs straight. Both soldiers wanted out of their state guards I told them since they were both moving to go IRR then they could go Active if they wanted to. Both soldiers units told them they had to either A. transfer to a Guard unit near their new homes or B. Inactive National Guard ING. I gave both soldiers all three regulations covering transfer and it was clearly spelled out it the service members choice they could choose the IRR or the ING. Both went IRR then deployed then went active duty.
