Congress unleashes service dogs for veterans with PTSD - Roll Call

I tried to convince my local VA to bring therapy dogs into the facility not only for the Veterans but also employees. The suggestion fell on death ears.

I probably could have handled my PTSD better with a service dog, but that option wasn’t available when I got back from Iraq. I don’t think it was even heard of in 2008. I had furry friends at home, so it wasn’t too bad at home. I don’t need one now, but it would have been nice back then.
