Agree. It seems we need a new mechanism to convince China, India, and the rest of the industrial world. The UN lacks the cojones to confront China. The US is already leading the way in CO2 reductions, but if the rest don't follow, this train is just going to keep on running hotter.

Col Joseph Lenertz Yes, we waited too long. The problem with climate change is the old problem of the frog in a pot of water and he doesn't jump out as the heat increases. The change was too gradual and as such people could dismiss it until, well, we can't because the water is starting to boil.

There are just too many things going into this, factory farming, our vehicles, industry. Things we rely on and will not be willing to change easily. Heck, I freaking drive around in an RV for most of the year so I'm part of the problem too.

If anthropogenic climate change is real and man can alter the planet's climate accidentally. It will not be long before man can start altering it intentionally. As with most technology, the first uses will probably be weaponizing the weather regionally to achieve some military objective.

Humans are an infestation on earth. The world was not designed for the manipulation of the resources at the current scale. We act like the resources are unlimited; the byproducts and pollution are immense. I don’t see the end in sight.
