Mississippi health officials have said that hospitals across the southern state are struggling to keep up with the mounting Covid-19 cases as the Delta variant of the virus rips across areas with low vaccination rates.
Doctors at the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) have said that they have seen an increase in people under 50 as well as children being hospitalised with the virus.
Health systems in the state are straining under the number of cases, and health officials said on Wednesday that there were only six ICU beds available in the entire state, WJTV reported.

I live here and what we are seeing is that it doesn't matter about vaccination...hospitals are getting flooded with vaccinated and unvaccinated patients...Delta isn't discriminating at all between the two.
