Here is another rocker for you on this Saturday afternoon, featuring BOSTON, performing "More Than a Feeling"!!!
About Boston:
"Boston is an American rock band from namesake Boston, Massachusetts, that had its most notable successes during the 1970s and 1980s. The band is centered on multi-instrumentalist founder, primary songwriter and leader Tom Scholz, who played the majority of instruments on the debut album, and lead vocalist Brad Delp, who died in 2007. Scholz, Delp and other musicians began working together in 1970 and had recorded versions of most of the songs that would comprise Boston's 1976 self-titled debut album as early as 1974, but the band's name was only coined during the final production of that album.
Boston contains several well-known songs including "Peace of Mind", "Foreplay/Long Time", "Rock and Roll Band", "Smokin'" and the first single, "More Than a Feeling", which was a Top 5 hit in the US and Canada, and a Top 20 hit in parts of Europe, including Germany, and in Australia. The album sold 17 million copies in the US, a million in Canada, and 25 million worldwide. Boston's second album, Don't Look Back, featuring the US and Canadian Top 5 hit "Don't Look Back", as well as "A Man I'll Never Be", reached No. 1 in the US, where it was certified 7-times platinum, and Canada, as well as the Top 10 in several other countries, including the United Kingdom, Germany and Australia, selling 7 million copies worldwide." - Read more at WIkipedia.com
LYRICS:
Boston - "More Than a Feeling"
I looked out this morning and the sun was gone
Turned on some music to start my day
I lost myself in a familiar song
I closed my eyes and I slipped away
It's more than a feeling (more than a feeling)
When I hear that old song they used to play (more than a feeling)
And I begin dreaming (more than a feeling)
'Til I see Marianne walk away
I see my Marianne walkin' away
So many people have come and gone
Their faces fade as the years go by
Yet I still recall as I wander on
As clear as the sun in the summer sky
It's more than a feeling (more than a feeling)
When I hear that old song they used to play (more than a feeling)
And I begin dreaming (more than a feeling)
'Til I see Marianne walk away
I see my Marianne walkin' away
When I'm tired and thinking cold
I hide in my music, forget the day
And dream of a girl I used to know
I closed my eyes and she slipped away
She slipped away
It's more than a feeling (more than a feeling)
When I hear that old song they used to play (more than a feeling)
And I begin dreaming (more than a feeling)
'Til I see Marianne walk away
