CSM Chuck Stafford I don't even think it is callus on her part, or even close to it. So Disney had this movie that they couldn't do a profitable theatrical release due to the pandemic. But they had contracts that promised the actors they would do an exclusive theatrical release because that's how they agreed with the actors to handle compensation.
So Disney and Marvel could have gone to the actors and said, "Hey, we can't easily do a theatrical release, let's re-negotiate." Instead they just went, F-you we're going to unilaterally make this decision to our financial benefit and your financial detriment and if you try and stand up for the contract terms we're going to try to paint you as callous even though we could easily have re-negotiated in good faith at any time.

I'm with her on this one. It sounds like Disney and Marvel decided to change how the movie was released to their benefit and Johansson's financial detriment. Sure COVID changed things but she had a contract with them and if they wanted to change the terms due to real world events they need to also renegotiate with the people they made agreements with promising an exclusive theatrical release.

Those side dollars count. Look at what happened to most of the cast on Gilligan's Island.
