TONIGHT's Topic: "Be A One Hit Wonder, Not A Blunder!"
TONIGHT as part of Steven's debut, we'll look at how one-hit wonders permanently affect everyone they touch, regardless of the impact the artist has had with other songs or hits. It is this perspective that we should live our lives; to be that one hit to one person, not striving to be that superstar to everyone, but just to make a difference to one soul, one person, one heart with just one action, one word, one kindness. I include a video of one-hit wonders from the 80's to see how much they made a difference in everyone's lives.
Here is that link: (69) 80s One Hit Wonders - An 80's Music Videos Compilation (USA Oriented) - YouTube.

Be A One Hit Wonder, Not a Blunder
There are songs that tug our hearts
from stars that never got past their starts
One hit wonders is what they're called
when after a hit their career seems stalled
But I say when the song continues to play
it dwells in our memory in a delightful way
It gives that artist a niche, a spot
more than other singers have got
It maintains a special place in our soul
and that should be the primary goal
not to make it from constant fame
to just put out the same ol' same
but to have a product that speaks down deep
a song, a poem, a story to keep
So be that story, that one hit wonder
don't be a repeated constant blunder
all you need is that one true deed
that folks remember was your creed
Your smile, your kindness, your charm, your wit
it's these wonders that make your heart seem fit
it's these things that people will never forget
like a one hit wonder, your epithet
For if your tombstone would read one thing
of what your life to others did bring
what wonder did you give just that once
that made a difference, "that dog still hunts"
that still plays on in other's minds
that precious memories always binds
what wonder have you given now
that makes observers sit up, say "wow"
A string of hits, a life of dreams
get rich quick and other schemes
having it all and plenty of clout
is not what life should be about
Instead, my friend be satisfied
with knowing you made it the time you tried
just one wonder is all you need
that's all it takes to truly succeed
so be that wonder, just one will do
And I guarantee life won't forget about you.
