I appreciate the fact the government is trying to make the country safer, but we all know some people think COVID is a hoax, it’s like the flu, and vaccines kill more people. Millions will take the chance of being unvaccinated and millions will get COVID. Many ask for the vaccine as they wrestle with death in the hospital with COVID but it is too late.

Samuel Kermon - HIPAA. Not HIPA or HIPPA.

Also no it's not illegal for anyone to ask YOU your medical information. You either give it up or you don't.

HIPAA literally applies to healthcare providers, hospitals and insurance companies from giving your PHI to third parties without your consent.

SFC Sczymanski J. - Indeed you can provide this intimate data tho I always recommend not to do so. When folks realize I am a clinical psychologist they want to talk about their current and past treatments. I politely decline to do so as I am not their provider.

Heres a good one about hippa. Im in the middle of a VA Claim and and a third party group is making an appointment for me. Ok no problem. So I ask why am going to the chiropractor when my claim has nothing to do with my back etc. The third party people said that due to hippa they can not discuss that. I said hold on. First you called me and went threw the quick verification process (ssn, first and last name etc.) Now I just gave you all of my identifiable information and now your claiming that due to hippa you can't me why I'm being seen at the chiropractor when I never made a claim for the chiropractor. Tell me how that works. Thank you VETERANS, RETIRE and ACTIVE DUTY members for letting me vent. To all, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE and your commitment to GOD AND COUNTRY

I would have responded, "Now that you have all my personal information but cannot tell me the specific reason you needed it, I am reporting you to the VA as someone acting fraudulent under their name."
