Driving a Mustang Shelby GT500 at the Nurburgring Made Me Jealous of Americans

You've come a long way, Mustang. When first introduced in 1964 I test drove one. The salesman was astonished I wanted a test drive. Every other customer had simply paid the deposit, sight unseen. But I waited until one arrived that I could drive and it was an abysmal disappointment. It was a Falcon frame and drive train with a sporty-looking body. The rear axle hopped in a panic stop. I bought something else for my first new car that year. Later versions of the Mustang always seemed unbalanced, front heavy, unable to make a corner decently at high speed. Thus, I never purchased one. Am I now believing this article? Color me skeptical...
