Five people have been arrested in Hong Kong, accused of publishing a series of seditious children’s books. The books are about sheep trying to hold back wolves from their village, and have been interpreted by the authorities as having a critical political slant.
Jerome Taylor is AFP's bureau chief in Hong Kong. He told Newsday. “These are illustrated children's books published by a speech therapists' union and they try to explain to children the current democracy movement in Hong Kong. The books are avowedly political. This illustrates how widespread the current crackdown is in Hong Kong and how it is expanding into the publishing industry and satire and children’s books.”

The thought police are now targeting children’s books. Can’t let the kiddies get any radical freedom ideas into their heads..

Reminds me of the marching cadence “Some people say that freedom is free, but with these I tend to disagree……”. Looks like they have been slowly tightening their control on HK.

When the subject first came up that Britain wasn't going to be able to renew the lease, I knew this was coming. Frankly, I'm surprised it took so long. However, the CCP is patient, and willing to wait to learn all they can about the businesses and business practices, infiltrate like they have here in the U.S., before they took action with the "crackdown". I'd suggest that Hong Kong's freedom is fleeting, and will be assimilated into the mainland soon. Max of 5 years?
