As more and more countries confront a surge in coronavirus infections, due in many regions to the dominance of the Delta variant, many are watching how Israel is dealing with their third wave of cases, given how quickly it managed to get its population double-vaccinated.
Having vaccinated 90% of the over-50s, the Israeli Ministry of Health is now looking to offer a third booster jab to "severely immuno-compromised, high risk patients". Professor Eyal Leshhem, director of the Centre for Travel Medicine and Tropical Diseases at the Sheba Medical Centre in Tel Aviv, explains why.

There is a deadly (500,00 dead in US alone!) spreading and mutating out there. Primary infection is through the nose, or breathing it into your lungs. We DO have vaccines that can mitigate the infection deadliness, and masks that can act as filters.
Why would anyone NOT wear a mask, or NOT protect themselves and the ones they love by getting vaccinated? (Other than it is truly a ‘self-cleaning gene pool!)
