Ridiculous. The shorts they are wearing are completely fine. They provide no competitive advantage (unless you consider comfort an advantage). They allow for safe and sensible participation in the sport. What is wrong with them?
I agree with governing sports bodies establishing rules for international competition. I really do. But lets make the rules about the ACTUAL SPORT.
