Rise in covid has nothing to do with antivaxxers, but it's due to brown people.
Sounds about typical conservative narrative.

SPC Jesse Davis - Thats Bidens policy now, and has been since Jan 20th - Point not to just the right wingers. Congress enacted these laws, Dems have the majority in the house, and can break the filibuster in the senate if they wish to - they have the power to change things at the border, yet do not, because it is political currency. And they are not denied medical care - it costs the taxpayers billions to pay for their medical care, shelter , and food - when Citizens go without - so spare me that bullshit narrative - 70 million a month to put them in hotels - yet we have veterans that are homeless and forgotten, hungry and without care - what right do these people have to the tax money spent on them before those who served our country?

That Biden is too slow on rolling back all of Trump's policies is a common criticism, yes. They really need to stop trying to compromise with Republicans and just get what needs to be done, done.
I don't know why you're even trying to pretend that you lot care about veterans with the way you spite the homeless, so take that to someone who might believe it, lmao

SPC Jesse Davis - wow - just wow. Many of these policies regarding immigration were enacted long before Trump, most of which were voted upon and approved by - wait for it - Biden, Pelosi, Schumer, and Schiff - How can you blame 1 man - who held a public office for 4 years, accountable for the shitstorm at the border when the current POTUS has held elected offices for over 30 years, along with Schumer, Schiff, Pelosi, Waters, Feinstein - these people voted and supported the very immigration laws they are denigrating now. But ok mate - whatever you say.

Until recently, Republicans primarily held congress, so.. yes. We can hold them responsible for the legislation that they introduced and pushed through, and yes we can hold Trump accountable for turning what was already a problem into an outright atrocity - and we can definitely comment on the people who supported what he did, especially now that they're trying to backtrack out of it.

There wasn't evidence to support Abbott's false claim in March and there isn't evidence to support Cruz's claim.

SFC Casey O'Mally - No.. they are wrong and so are you. There is zero evidence to support your claim. If you have evidence, I would love to see it.

1SG (Join to see) - Did you read the story you, yourself posted. I mean PAST the headline?
Here are some quotes from YOUR chosen news story.
"The surge of immigration to the border is also worrying, they say, but far from the biggest factor in containing the virus’ spread."
" 'It’s not trivial,' said Dr. James Castillo,"
"Arriving migrants who test positive are being directed to local hotels for isolation"
"Two HHS contractors in Texas who were not authorized to speak to the media say the positivity rates for children are generally 8% or below,"
"In the border city of Brownsville, Mayor Trey Mendez said last week that about 6% of immigrants tested positive at the local bus station."
"He criticized Abbott for lifting the mask mandate but said the arrival of migrants is also a concern. 'The reality of it is you cannot have an influx of thousands of people in your community during a pandemic,' he said."
"Services, and migrant parents with young children that the Border Patrol releases quickly. Some cities are getting hundreds of [untested] migrant families daily. "
Those are all from YOUR chosen story. Migrants are coming across the border in droves and some of them have COVID. Plain and simple. They. Are. Spreading. The. Disease.
Now, as I said above, they may be LESS of a problem than what the Texans are doing to themselves. But that does not mean they are NOT a problem. As Dr. James Castillo says (again in YOUR chosen article), "It is not trivial." As in it is a very real problem which needs to be addressed.
Your own story shows this, if you are willing to read beyond the headline.

SFC Casey O'Mally - AH so now they are maybe less of a problem? You are now moving the goalpost for Cruz? Please provide evidence for Cruz's claim. You have not provided a shred of evidence to backup anything you have said. I believe you are smarter than this.

Cruz said immigrants are spreading the virus. Immigrants *are* spreading the virus. Your own story shows this.
Cruz said “Most of these illegal immigrants coming in haven’t been vaccinated. They’re being put in cages with other people who are Covid-positive; they’re spreading Covid and then releasing Covid in our communities. This is lunacy.”
Every single aspect of that quote has been amply verified previously or is verified by your own story.
Even if lack of vaccines causes 25 cases, and immigrants only cause 5, IMMIGRANTS ARE STILL RESPONSIBLE FOR WORSENING THE PROBLEM.
I said they are less of a problem from a start. Cruz never claimed they were the ENTIRE problem. But hey, if you want to put words in his mouth and then yell that he is wrong, go ahead.
