From reading the article it would seem we are facing a new Vietnam. If so then our choices seem limited to withdraw or get drawn in further.

It seems that adding US troops to an already complex African situation ends in a more complex African situation. Adding US money and lives on the line each day without a real strategy is not a winning formula.

It's near impossible to win anything when they tie your hands behind your back, with the rules of engagement place upon them it's near impossible, strategies need to change and at times need to be completely dumped, and renewed.
