Thank you my friend MAJ Dale E. Wilson, Ph.D. for posting the perspective from militarytimes.com on revisiting the Battle of Gettysburg finale.
By the way I have spent considerable time at Gettysburg. My parents took me to Gettysburg when I was a child - interested in military history.
I have been on staff rides to that battlefield and educated others while I was there Little Round Top, Devils Den, the cornfield, etc.

I've been to all those places several times. One area that gets little attention though is Culp's Hill where some serious fighiting took place. Beautiful area as is all of Gettysburg.

Outstanding article on the Civil War Maj., Lee was a mastermind at tactics but definitely met his match at Gettysburg.
