Resolving student debt will not solve any problems as with what colleges charge these days, the next group of people with student debt will come along. Nebraska just parted ways with their athletic director and the buyout will cost $3 million. Do you really need to pay anyone like that this kind of money? This is why tuition is so high, poor decisions by colleges and universities. I graduated nursing school from a private school back in 2003 and my max debt was $34,000. This was for a bachelors and my graduate degree was another $10K for $44,000 total. There are schools that cost more per semester. Rather than forgiving student loans maybe we should explore the cost exploitation.
