Taal Volcano Eruption Update!!!
I just picked this up as I was perusing the internet and it looks bad for the local area in the Phillipines...
GeologyHub Describes this eruption possibility as follows:
The Taal Volcano started a new eruption on July 1st, 2021. What occurred so far was a relatively small volcanic explosion which ejected small amounts of lava and generated pyroclastic flows. However, the eruption is not over, and a much larger series of explosions is expected. As a result, mandatory evacuations have been issued. This video will cover what might happen next, and state the series of events which led to this explosive eruption.
This video was made by a geologist who is based in Arizona.
From WIkipeidia.com,
"Taal Volcano is a large caldera filled by Taal Lake in the Philippines. Located in the province of Batangas, the volcano is one of the most active volcanoes in the country, with 34 recorded historical eruptions, all of which were concentrated on Volcano Island, near the middle of Taal Lake.
