U.S. ends military academy progamme for Cambodia amid strained ties

THE PREMIER OF CAMBODIA IS HENG SAMRIN. He was a Vietnamese agent who formed Khmer Krom militia units to help General Lon Nol overthrow Prince Sihanouk. Lon Nol (rightly) suspected their loyalty and left them out to be slaughtered by the Khmer Rouge. When the Khmer Rouge defeated the Cambodian Army, Heng Samrin was one of the Junta. Pol Pot and Keu Samphan suspected him and Samrin escaped to Vietnam. A few years later the Khmer Rouge stood by while Kampuchea was overrun by the Vietnamese and guess who was now in charge.And they lived happily ever after.
