How the Casablancas-class Aircraft Carriers Shook Up World War II

Admiral Daniel V. Gallery, a pioneer in carrier based ASW operations, wrote a couple of excellent books on their role in the Battle of the Atlantic, "U-505," "Clear the Decks," and "Twenty Million Tons Under the Sea." They do overlap some, but both are worth reading if you're a history buff. He also wrote a series of "novels" around a character (BMC) known as "Fatso." Funny as heck if you can find them.

Hornfisher's "The Last Stand of the Tin Can Sailors" os a great account of the Battle of Samar.
