Hiking the Haw River (Mountain to the Sea Trail)

I used to take hikes tails and through state parks in Florida as a kid and early adulthood. Could never get any of my family to join me thought. I guess that's a negative to having all female siblings.

Anyway, Florida is probably the only state where its best to go hiking in the winter. Otherwise, the mosquitoes will eat you alive -- literally. That is, if the thunderstorms and subsequent humidity doesn't kill you first. Thanks for the reminder of those good days.
