Craig Telfer competed on the Franklin Pierce University men's track and field team in the NCAA Division II men's division, 400 m, ranking 200th in 2016 and 390 in 2017. When he transitioned into a female named CC, Craig became a superstar and national champion competing with women. However, “Telfer was entered in this week’s Olympic trials but was not allowed to compete because of 2019 World Athletics guidelines that closed off international women’s events of between 400 meters and a mile to athletes who did not meet the eligibility requirements.
Among those requirements was that their testosterone levels had to be below 5 nonomoles per liter (nmol/L) for a span of 12 months.
