I'm not holding my breath for the VA to act quickly on anything.

Like all recent major reforms, the VSO/MSO community presses Congress to provide strong oversight, and they do, and VA responds. Often they don't get it right in the beginning, but they do respond and implement the new laws.

CAPT (Join to see) - I see. Well, I'm hopeful especially considering that it took until 1991 for the government to mandate that the VA treat diseases related to Agent Orange exposure.

That was Congress not acting. Lots of pressure mounting now for Congress to act. But some are making noise about it costing too much.

CAPT (Join to see) - There's always that. My concern is always that the VA moves at a snail's pace.
