Another thing I'm not is an OB-Gyn. I always thought during the 1st trimester that Women just carried on with their normal life, Unless a problem showed up. The story led Me to believe She has a Medical MOS, as such she could be assigned field duties that kept Her away from the more rigorous aspects of the exercise.

Good morning, sir. Granted the soldier is pregnant. Granted the command team was trying to figure out how to deal with it. Here are my questions:
1- How far along is she? If the answer is not very then send her with the unit, plenty of light duty opportunities are available. If she it is n advanced pregnancy then she should be excused with the proviso that she make up the training time later.
2- what are her duties? Refer back to question 1.
3- what is the mission of her unit? Refer back to question 1.
4- what was her units next level command, i.e. battalion or Brigade, not notified and suitable decisions made? Here is where the problem really originates. The command team of her unit did not seek answers, apparently had a knee-jerk reaction.
