I love how they keep reporting the rise in inflation "...over the past year" as though the increase began during the Trump Administration. Right...

Rise in wholesale prices? Usually reflected in retail prices (Even Costco sells at retail!). Not much noticed until the last 3 months. During the last 3 months though - wow. Just wow. Have not seen this since the 70s and 80s.
And yes, some of the cause happened over the last year with the heavy push to lock everything down. Then keep it locked down. Then continued to crush the economy while killing way too many of our elderly. Did I mention the continual lockdowns in the mostly Blue states?

Agree! The affects of the lockdowns had a cascading effect. The ships stuck in harbors waiting in quarantine to dock began a bottleneck effect. Shortages of consumer goods, service items like chips, etc. have started to take a toll on the economy. Not to mention, paying low skilled workers to stay home after locking down businesses has killed several businesses.
