Perseverance Spots Petrified Wood ? | Did Green Vegetation exist on Mars ?
Interesting questions to be sure... I was somewhat skeptical at first when I began previewing this video... As the video moved on and comparisons were made of what looks to be petrified wood on Mars, with Petrified wood on Earth... The images are strikingly similar and I am sure that geologists, as they examine the high resolution images from Mars, will probably make some determinations, but in my view I believe this video does show a very high probability of fossilized wood, aka Petrified Wood. It will be interesting to see how this shakes out in the scientific community.

I'm a bit skeptical that it's wood, but am not ruling it out. It's more than likely rock whose layers were produced by other means such as the action of water lapping on a shoreline.

There is a lot we don't know yet, and I am skeptical but leaning toward a discovery... That said, it will be the experts who will either rule it out or confirm it... Time will tell... Thank you for commenting...
