Maybe a checkout line at Hobby Lobby or the Chick-Fil-A drive-thru is more of his speed.

At least the police were invited to this event. New York Pride Parade does not want police at all.

NYPD to disband 600-strong plainclothes anti-crimes unit in a move toward community-focused '21st...
This decision comes after the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis prompted a global cry for the end of systemic racism and police brutality.

LTC (Join to see) - I'm talking about off duty civilian clothes cops. Not undercover. Unless they are known personally by others they will most likely go undetected. Additionally, if they are recognized their friends would most likely not blow their cover in the interest of having a good time.

1SG (Join to see) yes, I hope that is the best plan but I wouldn't be surprised that those on Marxist left will he looking for them. I know you are reasonable but I don't trust others. I just hope that these undercover cops don't get beat up because people will know who they are even in civilian clothing. My father was a deputy sheriff and he was concerned when he saw someone he recognized on the street who he processed in the county jail. That guy said hello to him and my father felt uncomfortable. This was back in the radical 1960s after he was beginning his career working the county jail during the Watts Riot of 1965.

LTC (Join to see) - Sounds like too much trouble to go through. You know how tedious it would be to try and look up info on all cops just to find out which are gay? That is a ton of work and to me, the juice isn't worth the squeeze. I am just happy that Pride month has been relatively peaceful so far.

If you don't like something, leave the situation. Don't go to places that are celebrating things you don't like and complain. Like, I don't go to polka concerts and tell people I don't like polka music, I just don't go.
