I follow an apologist. Benjamin L. Corey.
Anyone not familiar with this term a religious apologist is a "defender of the faith" they spend their time trying to debunk atheism.
I follow him because i like the way he writes, and for the most part his apologist stances are more about educating other Christians on Christianity, than trying to undermine atheism.
He, rightfully, describes the tale of Sodom and Gomorrah as a story of rape, not a story of homosexuality: The term "to know" in the bible means to have sex, i.e. to know a woman biblically.
Genesis 19
5 And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.
See the crime of Sodom was not homosexuality it was rape.
Mr. Corey takes this a step further and speaks about how the idea of homosexuality, in binary terms, and for most cis people, is simple, there is a "man" and a "woman", and if there is anything the ancient people hated more than an effeminate men, it would be a women.
These men are not only homophobic they are misogynists too, they use religion to control the women in their lives.
They can not handle anything that threatens their manhood.
